So you’re asking what is Demo-cross… It’s a little four-wheel motocross, a little demo derby all wrapped up in a 10 lap race on a circle track, with jumps in the course. They are ones that buy the hats, T-shirts, souvenirs. “We have some sponsors listed on the side of the truck, but you know, it’s more the fans that sponsor the truck. You try not to tear up your stuff, my crew does a great job on the truck and don’t need the extra work.” I thought I had it saved at first, but it went back the other way and finally over. “To me a good save is better than driving it until you end up upside down. “ I wasn’t really trying to do that at the end,” said Pauken. Pauken was quickly out of the truck, uninjured and took the ovation from the standing crowd, along with a perfect 30 from the judges. On the last jump, the truck bicycled on both sides before finally going over and having a small fire erupt. “Digger” caught big air as he sailed over the TTD Monster Jump several times. Pilot, Charlie Pauken, basically drove it till he killed it, going past the 90-second time limit. Taz’s run was highlighted by a “sky wheelie” on top of the TTD Monster Jump.įinally, last but not least, Grave Digger lit the famous orange glow headlights, and was off on his run. Taz assumed the number one spot after his attempt on the tough course. The run was capped off with a jump off the side of the TTD Monster Jump that had him sideways on landing and rolling over as time expired. Next up was Air Force Afterburner, grabbing the top spot after his showmanship. Maniac was the initial truck to attempt the TTD Monster Jump, but broke the spindle off ending his run early.īounty Hunter got the points lead with 21 total even after breaking the rear axle off the TTD Monster Jump, he completed his run doing a massive doughnut with the crippled truck. Iron Outlaw, who went out sixth, was the first to actually complete the 90-second run, but only posted a score of 19 from the three judges. Most truck crews would probably be up through the night working to have their truck ready for Sunday’s afternoon show.ĭespite trying to take it easy on the trucks, several of the lower budget teams shied away from the Texas Truck Dealers Monster Jump, but still ended up with broken parts during their runs. The nights “freestyle” competition turned out to be more of a destruction derby as the high-flying course took its toll on the equipment. Officials had to use video replay to determine that Maniac eked out the victory by mere inches to advance. Despite his poor qualifying run, Air Force Afterburner hung tough with Maniac and at the line it was….a photo finish. The best heads up race of the night came in round 1 when fast qualifier, Maniac went against Air Force Afterburner. Grave Digger was able to hold a steady line on the twice around course edging out Bounty Hunter by a truck length for the win. As the green light was shown, Grave Digger got a slight holeshot on Bounty Hunter. The highly anticipated match up of two of the top trucks and former champions had the crowd buzzing. ![]() Grave Digger bested Superman for a close round 1 win, Tropical Thunder in the second round, and caught a break in the semi-finals when the apparent winner, Iron Outlaw, was penalized for hitting a track cone. ![]() All these things just scratch the surface of what idols do to make their daily bread. Let’s not even get into trying to throw together a concert, an ad campaign, or launch a show. And all the while maintaining the routine of daily maintenance and performance. You have to queue all those tasks up, one by one, with your different staffers to get them done. It involves composition, choreography, production, marketing, and even a bit of prophecy, as you scour the sales charts and trend indicators trying to find a winning formula. Just releasing a single song is a multi-step endeavor. Glitch Pitch has done a great job of expressing, through the game’s mechanics, just how much work and “hustle” idols need, even for mundane activities. That’s where the magic of Idol Manager started to take hold. ![]() I eventually found a groove, and took Starfleet Command further up the charts towards stardom. I bankrupted my company multiple times, often spiraling into debt as my idols struggled to sell even a dozen copies of their awful singles. Despite a hefty initial investment from my benefactor, my first few runs of Idol Manager were disasters. Glitch Pitch was not kidding when it added a caveat to the default difficulty level, noting that most players will take some time to work out a sustainable playstyle. All of those rooms need staff to operate them! Which, of course cuts into the budget.Īnd the budget is everything. I later splurged on a break room to keep them rested and a dressing room to help them doll up between gigs. We also needed a recording studio to put together my group’s tunes, and a dance studio to keep them practiced and work on choreography. My beginning unit, Starfleet Command, needed an office for me and another office for my production assistant. Players will build out their Idol Manager agency with a mix of facilities. The non-idol staff feel even more interchangeable, getting a single sprite each. There’s little variation to the idols’ faces, or even default skin tone. That being said, after a few rounds of auditions, I felt like I had seen the limits of the game’s character design variety. Each also has their own set of attributes (like cuteness), goals (like being in center position during a concert), and quirks (like a complete lack of shame).Īll these parameters help the idols of Idol Manager feel more like individuals rather than simple tables of stats. It’s kind of like the randomized squaddies one gets in a typical game of XCOM. For the most part, though, each idol feels deliberately generic. Players can tweak a few things here and there, such as editing hairstyles and nicknames. These are NPCs that are procedurally generated by the game, with randomized faces, personalities, and appearances. And only women, unfortunately, as by default Idol Manager doesn’t allow you to run a male or mixed-gender operation.Īt the core of Idol Manager are, of course, the idols. And from these humble, shady roots will spring the next generation of world-shaking talents. ![]() Requires iOS devices.Īlso Available: Download AirServer for Macįreeware programs can be downloaded used free of charge and without any time limitations. On a PC, users can mirror or cast their screen from any AirPlay, Google Cast, or Miracast compatible devices such as an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows 11/Windows 10, Android, or Chromebook. With the tool enabled on your big screen, users can use their own devices such as an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, Nexus, Pixel, Chromebook, or a Windows 11/10 PC to wirelessly mirror their display over to the big screen, instantly turning the room into a collaborative space.ĪirServer Universal turns your Windows PC into a universal mirroring receiver, allowing you to mirror your device's display using the built-in AirPlay, Google Cast, or Miracast based screen projection functionality one-by-one or simultaneously to the program (patent pending). It does this by implementing all the major screen mirroring technologies such as AirPlay, Google Cast, and Miracast into one universal receiver. With the help of a PC or any other supported hardware, the app can transform a simple big screen or a projector into a universal screen mirroring receiver. Use this technology to screen mirror iPads, Windows laptops, and Chromebooks in classrooms, wirelessly project your desktop in meeting rooms or supercharge your Xbox One at home by turning it into a wireless multimedia hub. It allows you to receive AirPlay, Google Cast, and Miracast streams, similar to an Apple TV or a Chromecast device. Once audio support is added, this app will match the Mac app in terms of its ability to impress.AirServer for PC 64bit is the most advanced screen mirroring software receiver for Mac, PC, and Xbox One. As well as being useful for holding photo slideshows, the mirroring option is also great to playing games on a larger screen or even watching movies. You do not even need to install anything on your iPhone or iPad as AirPlay is a built in feature, so this is a big bonus. You can choose between 1:1 pixel mirroring, or choose the 720p or 1080 x 1080 high resolution settings. Besides this, all you need to do is to decide on the type on mirroring you would like to use and this will depend on which iOS device you are using. The program is incredibly easy to set up and it can be configured to run automatically with Windows so you do not need to remember to launch when you turn on your computer. If you have your computer connected to a TV, it is even easier to show a photo display to larger numbers of people while taking advantage of a larger display. AirServer enables you to overcome this problem by mirroring – or streaming – the display of your iOS device on your PC’s monitor. If you have an iOS device you will no doubt have experienced the problem of trying to show off a batch of photos to a number of people and having to crowd around a small screen. ![]() These allow you to add spacers between groups of menu bar items that can either be just a configurable space, text, or even emoji, great for grouping menu bar items into similar groups.īartender also brings a host of ways to improve your interaction with menu bar items with new triggers for showing menu bar items when they need your attention. You may not have given it enough time, since the pressure measurement is somewhat averaged over time to prevent noise. The ambient pressure sensor did not pick up the full change in ambient pressure. So your 9-10 meter altitude change would have caused an ambient pressure change of around 1.5 mm Hg, and the change to the Barometric Pressure should be almost exactly the same. ![]() A change of 1 mm Hg should be equivalent to an altitude change of 6-7 meter. Your stair experiment shows that it did, but perhaps not as much as it should. So any ambient pressure change measured by the watch should be used for calculating a new Barometric Pressure. You have told your watch that you are at a constant altitude. The actual value changes all the time depending on the weather and your location. In either case, it is important that you do not just input some textbook average value for air pressure at mean sea level. But there is also a slight chance that the setting is somehow used for adjusting a calculation offset if your local weather station uses another air density for calculating the equivalent pressure at Mean Sea Level, compared to what the watch uses. I assume that the setting is intended to be used in altimeter mode in the special case where you do not know your initial altitude, but you do know what the equivalent pressure at Mean Sea Level is right now at your location. I do not have this setting in my Fenix 3. You mention that you have a manual setting for sea level pressure in the watch. In barometer mode, the watch calculates Barometric Pressure from three variables: The true ambient pressure at your location, your known altitude and an assumed density of the air column between your altitude and Mean Sea Level. This value also changes with the weather, synchronous with the Ambient Pressure. The equivalent pressure at Mean Sea level. ![]() The true ambient pressure at your location, measured by the pressure sensor in the watch. OK, so, what is the difference between "barometric pressure" and this "ambient pressure"? Is one influenced by the other? Can someone explain? One more thing, in this widget, under the 733.4 mmHg pressure is displayed the altitude (which is 337 meters, as I said), and another pressure indicator (I suppose), which shows: 766.4. Later edit: I just discovered an Ambient Pressure widget, which shows 733.4 mmHg, very close to the real pressure measured by the local weather station, which is 735 mmHg, as I already said. I'd like to see the barometer changing according to weather changes, so how should I set the altimeter/barometer in order to achieve that? Or is my watch a lemon? The sensors/software are broken? I need your advice. I must mention that the real time pressure in my city is now around 735 mmHg and rising, as the local weather station shows. When I'm at the third floor, staying inside my apartment, the barometer is almost frozen most of the time (ranging between 759.8 and 760.1). The only parameter which is changing is the barometer pressure, it changes slightly from 760 mmHg to 760.7 or so, when I descend from the third floor to the ground. Now the altitude is frozen at 337, even when I descend 3 floors from my apartment (at least 9-10 meters equivalent) to the ground. I set the same altitude in the barometer settings, then I set the sea level pressure at 760 mmHg (as this is the well known standard, right?), and I finally set the Watch Mode to barometer. I switched off the altimeter autocalibration based on GPS. I set the altimeter manually to the known local altitude (337 meters in my case). |
